Steeped in history, the grounds were originally home to Ballyoonan House, a grand residence built by local landowner Robert Walker Greer. The estate has since evolved through generations, retaining its unique character and connection to the surrounding landscape.
In 1994, the estate began a new chapter with the development of The Táin Holiday Village, which quickly became a popular holiday destination, welcoming visitors from across Ireland, both north and south of the border. This rich heritage lives on today through our on-site An Táin Café & Bar, a nod to the site’s much-loved past.
Today, Baile Beag is a family run development entering an exciting new era, bringing together luxury lodges, independent living apartments, a dedicated health and wellness hub, and welcoming café and hospitality facilities.
